I am beginning to edit this article from the Wikipedia version. My goal is to have an accurate and readable reference that primarily serves the person who has an autoimmune disease and wants to learn more about the nature of auto-immunity. Additionally, the article should be a true and reasonably complete summary of autoimmunity from a scientific standpoint.
