That group consists of for instance [[DNA]], [[RNA]], [[proteins]], [[enzymes]] and [[starch]]. For many polymers associated with commercial plastics as used in daily life are only those like plastic bags, car utensils and protective clothing. Fewer people however are aware of the biological functions of polymers.
