Béarn
The articles states that "Henri IV, who was born in the old French département of Béarn". There was no "département" in 1553, 'Béarn' was a province. Départements officially appeared approx 250 years later Nat Makarevitch 18:11, 15 August 2007 (CDT)
- Yup, I don't know how that one slipped through: I *knew* it, but didn't write it. Here's the French Wikipedia start to Bearn: "Le Béarn (en gascon/béarnais Bearn [beˈar] ou Biarn [ˈbjar]) est une ancienne province française située au pied des Pyrénées. Il forme avec la Basse-Navarre, le Labourd et la Soule (composant le Pays basque français) le département des Pyrénées-Atlantiques (64), dont il occupe les 3/5 du territoire.
