Jasper Wubs was born in the city of Kampen, the Netherlands, in 1985. After finishing high school, he got fed up with the educational system (normal kid), so he spent a year doing voluntary worked in a small village in southern Hungary. During that time, he choose biology as his field of further study. He has recently completed his BSc in biology at Utrecht University, and will start to study towards a masters degree in the coming academic year. His major interests are ecology, evolutionary biology and environmental science, but, on a more leisurely note, he also enjoys ice-skating, biking (Holland- Santiago de Compostela in 2006), fencing, guitar playing, music and reading.
