My favourite historical time periods are the hundred year war and the three kingdoms era of ancient China. There is something about the war stories of the likes of Cao Cao and The Black Prince that makes the heart start pumping and lets you admire the genius of these people. History is so entertaining because you can learn so much about the present and the future by knowing the history.
