The proposal is very reasonable to me, but it is simply about a single page. That is best discussed on the page itself. If you want to know how to "get permission," then I'd say, ask me. If that seems like an unnecessary bottleneck, I'd agree. But then there is a policy under development that is relevant. See CZ:Proposals/Approval system for CZ: pages. I replaced help:contents with a redirect to CZ:Home. As noted on help talk:contents, I moved the links that were in help:contents to various pages linked from cz:home. Warren Schudy 17:58, 21 February 2008 (CST)

Help:Contents links to similar material as CZ:Home does, but is less well organized and less complete. I propose that these pages be merged, with the merged version living at CZ:Home.

Reasoning

If you there are duplicate versions of something, at least one is likely to be out of date. In this case, Help:Contents is the out of date one. For example:

• It links to CZ:Project Home for policy.
• It links to CZ:Notice Board
• It links to the out of date Template:Checklist and the currently used Template:Subpages, but not to the more useful CZ:Subpages.

As far as I can tell these pages have the same mission, so why keep them separate?

Help:Contents is perhaps a better name than CZ:Home, but it's silly to have a namespace with only one article in it. Are there any other "Help:" pages?

I agree. Centralization of this information is critical for both maintenance and for ease of finding all the pertinent information in one place. I would suggest leaving the "help" link on the left, but have it take you to CZ:Home instead. --Todd Coles 21:13, 15 February 2008 (CST)

Dissagree. There is a purpopse for the help page that isn't covered by the home page. The help page should be expaned to contain alot more information than it currently does. We should have a more detailed help section. Derek Harkness 22:52, 15 February 2008 (CST)
