Canal Educativo 2 (CE2) is a Cuban television channel. It was created as an extension of Canal Educativo and therefore oriented to education by means of didactic materials. However, explicitly didactic content was removed progressively from the channel with the exception of documentaries. The channel now tends to have more general programming. The Cuban Institute of Radio and Television announced that from January 20, 2013, teleSUR and CE2 would share signals.[1]. Until that CE2 transmitted a two hours resume of teleSUR programming. After the decision was made CE2 programming has been reduced to 4 hours a day.
