I am a software developer by profession and have been for eight years. Regarding education, I have a B.Sc (Hons) in Computer Science from Staffordshire University in England.

My professional interests centre around software development methodology and practice. I know a thing or two about Extreme Programming, Software Version Control, Legacy Software and Software Metrics.

Outside of work I study the Philosophy of Science. Paul Feyerabend is perhaps my favourite author, although I've taken a break from reading him just to get a wider perspective. I'm currently working on the 'History of scientific method' article for Wikipedia, where I have recently updated sections on Descartes, Galileo and Francis Bacon. I have made contributions to Wikipedia, off and on, since 2002.

You can test out editing in the sandbox if you'd like. If you need help to get going, the forum is one option. That's also where we discuss policy and proposals. You can ask any user or the editors for help, too. Just put a note on their "talk" page. Again, welcome and have fun! --Bernard Haisch 17:00, 7 February 2007 (CST)
