Munster is the most southerly of the four provinces of Ireland. It consists of six counties. These are Cork, Kerry, Waterford, Tipperary, Clare and Limerick.
Cities
There are officially three cities in Munster: Cork, Limerick, and Waterford.
Sport
There are three sports that are played widely in Munster: Gaelic football, hurling and rugby union. Soccer is also played but not at representative level. Munster as an entity is best known for rugby, with hurling and Gaelic football being more popular at County level.
