The original stub has recently been replaced with material imported from Conservapedia. Their copyright page actually says anyone can do this, even without attribution, but permission can be revoked. It is not clear to me what licence the page here now appears under, assuming we wish to keep it (generally we prefer new material). :I was one of the contributors to the article, and it's one of the best CP articles (non-biased) and definitely better than the stub that was on here. I don't see the point in starting from scratch, especially since their content technically seems to be in the public domain, although do you think some modifications could be made to differentiate it from the CP article? --[[User:Andrew W. ::I'm not sure if it is in the public domain - more likely, it's their own licence with a waiver on attribution - but anyway, if you have written a good deal of the Conservapedia article anyway, it would be better to strip out or rewrite anything written by other people there, so it can become an original Citizendium article. If it's being looked at that way, I'll make these comments here for now:
#I recall from somewhere that he made sergeant; if that's right I think it should be mentioned.
#The death section is repetitive.

Conservapedia

The original stub has recently been replaced with material imported from Conservapedia. Their copyright page actually says anyone can do this, even without attribution, but permission can be revoked. It is not clear to me what licence the page here now appears under, assuming we wish to keep it (generally we prefer new material). John Stephenson (talk) 12:38, 24 May 2017 (UTC)

I was one of the contributors to the article, and it's one of the best CP articles (non-biased) and definitely better than the stub that was on here. I don't see the point in starting from scratch, especially since their content technically seems to be in the public domain, although do you think some modifications could be made to differentiate it from the CP article? --Andrew W. Teal (talk) 19:00, 24 May 2017 (UTC)
I'm not sure if it is in the public domain - more likely, it's their own licence with a waiver on attribution - but anyway, if you have written a good deal of the Conservapedia article anyway, it would be better to strip out or rewrite anything written by other people there, so it can become an original Citizendium article. If it's being looked at that way, I'll make these comments here for now:

  1. I recall from somewhere that he made sergeant; if that's right I think it should be mentioned.
  2. The death section is repetitive.
