Produced in 1962 and directed by Terrance Young, it starred Sean Connery as James Bond, with Ursula Andress as principal 'Bond girl' Honey Ryder. The film cost about $1.2 million to make, but collected over $20 million at the box office worldwide, quickly spawning a string of sequels starting with 1963's From Russia With Love. The film was set in and mainly filmed in Jamaica, and also starred Joseph Wiseman as the villain, Doctor No,[1] and Jack Lord as CIA agent Felix Leiter.
