Wylie Maercklein has shot documentary and entertainment photography on three continents. As a film producer, writer, and director of photography, Wylie has helmed three independent feature films and worked on numerous music videos, documentaries, and shorts. He has traveled extensively across the U.S. and shot photography professionally in Texas, California, and New York.

Past employment has included jobs in System Administration/MIS and web development/web programming, computer game design, and even a job during college as a tour guide at the Texas Capitol.

Wylie holds a Bachelors of Arts from the University of Texas at Austin in History, with a minor in Anthropology, and a concentration in Russian, Eurasian, and Eastern European History.

Areas of interest to Citizendium include literature, film, photography, various aspects of history (notably where cultures come into contact with one another), game development, and biography.
