Nebula Awards are writer-chosen awards presented annually by the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America, Inc. The organization was founded as the Science Fiction Writers of America in 1965 and now has over 1,500 members, among them many of the leading writers of science fiction and fantasy. The Nebula Awards are voted on by active members of the society. Since 1965, the Nebula Awards have been given each year for eligible novels published in the United States during the two previous years.
