The Allan Ramsay article you started and developed
Gareth, if you ever decide to start an article on Allan Ramsay's father, "Allan Ramsay, poet and author of The Gentle Shepherd.",[1], I recommended Google Books's free downloadable pdf, "The Gentle Shepherd: A Pastoral Comedy, By Allan Ramsay, William Tennant, Alexander Fraser Tytler Woodhouselee, Contributor Randall Thompson, Published by W. Gowans, 1852, Original from the New York Public Library, Digitized Nov 27, 2006, 105 pages", at: http://books.google.com/books?id=5VYgAAAAMAAJ.
If nothing else, a delightful read. --Anthony.Sebastian 03:53, 30 October 2008 (UTC)

Homeopathy Study in Cuba
Gareth, you deleted a reference to a study of 3 million Cubans and wrote: "The trial was run by the Finlay Institute, and the authors were employees of this the commercial suppliers of the product; clear conflict of interest (oddly undeclared)" First, I would like to know the reference that you have this assertion, and equally important, what evidence do you have that employees of a company in a communist country like Cuba get financial benefits? I am certainly not saying that your concern isn't valid, but I just want evidence of it. Dana Ullman 04:25, 20 October 2010 (UTC)
New Health Sciences editor
Gareth, this has been the busiest day I have had on CZ since I joined and I am sure that it has been for you as well.
As an Editorial Personnel Administrator, I have just approved a new member, D. Leigh Higgins, as a Health Sciences author and editor. I have strongly urged her to expand her user page biography. If you have the time, it would be nice if you posted a welcome on her Talk page and also inquire if she wants any advice about expanding her bio or any other kind of help. Thanks, Milton Beychok 07:28, 25 October 2010 (UTC)
Ombudsman
Please make any requests for my involvement as Ombudsman, and any discussion of that role here.
Comments on Oxytocin
Gareth, please see my comments on the Talk page. Excellent article. Anthony.Sebastian 18:04, 10 November 2010 (UTC)
We have started our campaign for donations!
Gareth, I just wanted to let you know that we started our drive for donations a few hours ago and we already have $372. Regards, Milton Beychok 05:31, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
To-Approve Nomination Banner Posted for Oxytocin
Gareth, I nominated your first-class article on Oxytocin. Will re-read Pseudoscience with view to doing the same.
Will you, when you have time, look at Life/Draft for your thoughts on what it may need to replace the currently approved version. I think it much improved over the currently approved version, which now seems embarrassingly exiguous. It may carry the distinction as the longest CZ article, but 'Life' needs a thorough treatment, as few subjects qualify as larger than life.
Also think Thylakoid covers the essentials and might merit nomination, though I would continue to work on a post-approval draft version.
Thanks. Anthony.Sebastian 16:06, 11 November 2010 (UTC)
New Biology Editor
We have a new Biology editor named Dorian Q. Fuller. Perhaps you may wish to put a welcome message on his Talk page. Milton Beychok 16:47, 17 November 2010 (UTC)
Re Oxytocin approval
Gareth, I will go ahead now and update the approval article version number. If you have any last minute edits, let me know. Anthony.Sebastian 00:18, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
- Gareth, I updated the version number after your edits of 02:02, 18 November 2010, re defining 'eutherian'. Date/time 02:02, 18 November 2010 as given on 'History' page. Outstanding article, interesting subject lucidly presented. Presume Matt will approve today. —Anthony.Sebastian 16:17, 18 November 2010 (UTC)
Re Thylakoid Approval
Gareth, will you update the version number of Thylakoid before the approval goes through. I made edits in response, in part, to suggestions by Chris Day. Thanks. —Anthony.Sebastian 01:57, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
- It would be preferable if we can get Anthony and Chris Day to sign on to the Adipocyte article as well. D. Matt Innis 02:35, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
Re Adipocyte Approval
Gareth, I added my name ToApprove, and updated the approval to the 28th. —Anthony.Sebastian 04:45, 28 November 2010 (UTC)
articles to have a look at
You'll be able to see for yourself as soon as the MC releases the first report from our new Google Analytics installation, but I thought I'd mention that two articles, Micrococcus luteus and Proteus vulgaris, have been getting a lot of traffic. I tried to figure out why that would be, but can't find a solution. In any case, it might be worth looking over those articles to make sure they are in good shape. I'm leaving the same message for Anthony Sebastian. --Joe Quick 21:27, 30 November 2010 (UTC)
- I see you and Anthony have been at work. Thanks for doing that. Having more detailed data from the Google Analytics installation is going to come in handy, I think. --Joe Quick 21:43, 1 December 2010 (UTC)

HTML comment on CZ:External Links
I'd like to know why your edit removed the HTML comment on the section heading in CZ:External Links. That particular comment is part of the example given in CZ:Links, where that usage is recommended. --T. J. Frazier 19:46, 7 December 2010 (UTC)
Thylakoid
Hi Gareth, please see my talk page. D. Matt Innis 13:40, 9 December 2010 (UTC)
Adipocyte / Adiponutrin
Gareth, please see my note regarding the lack of Adiponutrin in the Adipocyte article. David E. Volk 00:11, 18 February 2011 (UTC)
- I added some more about the mutant variants too. I used the "cite journal" template for the reference I added, which is different than the ones you added. Feel free to change the format of it if you like. David E. Volk 17:23, 18 February 2011 (UTC)

Hutton, good choice. Should have thought of that years ago. Hutton and Lyell were mentioned the first day in my geology class about a million years ago.Thomas Simmons 18:09, 13 March 2011 (UTC)
