Rutherfordium is a chemical element, having the chemical symbol Rf and its atomic number (the number of protons) is 104. It has a standard atomic weight of 265 g•mol −1 and it is a solid in its elemental form.
Rutherfordium is considered a member of the "Transition metal" class of elements. It has been estimated that, at a pressure of 101.325 kPa, the boiling point is 5,000 °C and the melting point is 2,400 °C.[1]
