Body text is the text on a web page which appears between the opening "<body>" and closing "</body>" tags that delimit the body section of the document. The tags themselves are not required if the document is HTML.
Body text may include headers and other text, and is usually text which a visitor to the page reads, but it may not always be visible, depending on formatting techniques used by the page designer.
Body text is also defined as the main text in a document, in distinction from headlines and captions.[1]
