As used in the United States intelligence community, it consists of Egypt, Iran, Iraq, Kuwait, Turkey, countries of the Arabian Peninsula and countries of The Levant. Countries of the The Levant include Israel, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestinian Authority and Syria.
