Small comment: I'd just add some "plain English", like I added (please check to make sure I'm right):

  • "The pain is usually pleuritic (it hurts when one breathes in or coughs).
  • The pain is worse with laying down and is better with leaning forward, (this one is good and straightforward)
  • The pain may radiate to one or both trapezius ridges.="feels like it's moving from side to side"?
  • 85 percent of patients have a friction rub. (not sure what this is)
  • "Peridarditis is unlikely to cause a dysrrhythmias in the absence of myocardial disease" = "You probably won't have a heart attack if you don't already have heart disease"?
