Numbers regarding size inconsistent

1,000 light years / 100,000 light years = 1/100, so reducing to 80 mi should mean a thickness of 80/100 =0.8 miles not 2 mm.

I know this is supposed to be scholarly...

But I'm now craving chocolate, caramel and nougat. Is hunger an adequate justification for disambiguation? Howard C. Berkowitz 22:06, 30 May 2008 (CDT)

Spiral Arms

Hi Folks,

I have given the subsection a graphic and an update. These graphics

color arm(s)
cyan 3-kpc and Perseus Arm
sky-blue Norma and Cygnus Arm (Along with a newly discovered extension)
chlorine-green Crux and Scutum Arm
pink Carina and Sagittarius Arm
There are at least two smaller arms or spurs, including:
orange Orion Arm (which contains the solar system and the Sun)

Need to be updated as well.
