Defining value

I don't like the term "defining value" for a numerical value. In my view a definition will not change soon, whereas this numerical value may be adapted every two years or so. (I know that there are a few numerical values defined, such as the speed of light, but R is not one of them). --Paul Wormer 11:40, 2 April 2008 (CDT)
