History
Prilosec delayed release brand of omeprazole was approved for AstraZeneca by the Food and Drug Administration in the United States with a New Drug Application (NDA) in 1989.[1] A generic version with a AB Therapeutic Equivalence Code was approved with a Abbreviated New Drug Application (ANDA) in 2008.[2] In 4/2008, a delayed release version became an authorized generic.[3]
