Vipera berus sachalinensis is a venomous viper subspecies[2] found in the Russian Far East, China, North Korea and on Sakhalin Island.[3]

Geographic range

Russian Far East (Amur), China (Jilin), North Korea and on Sakhalin Island.[3]

Taxonomy

McDiarmid et al. (1999) follow Golay et al. (1993) and recognize V. b. sachalinensis as a subspecies of V. berus.[1] However, is has been considered a full species in recent literature.[3]
