Is this really the best name for the article? Abbreviation aside wouldn't it at least be better to have "List of" or "Former" in the title seeing as how that's what the article is... --Rob Glass 15:53, 26 May 2007 (CDT)

Since we list George W. Bush, "former" would be inappropriate. "List" would be better. Though there's a tendency to get away from the word "list" here, I think it works better than would "catalog". Actually, I'd most prefer "List of Presidents of the United States of America", as I dislike abbreviations in titles. Anthony Argyriou 15:09, 19 June 2007 (CDT)

High priority

This is a high priority Google search item. --Larry Sanger 16:50, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

What changes do you suggest? Obviously, we should wrte articles for the redlinked Presidents, and we perhaps should have a separate President of the United States article to explain about the office and its history, with a section heading which links to this list. However, is there more which could be added to the list proper? We could add data like Electoral College majorities, popular votes, opponents, party identification, date of birth, state of residence when elected, etc.. Too many of those items would make the list unweildy. Anthony Argyriou 19:07, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

I don't have any particular changes to suggest, I just looked at a list of most CZ-traffic-generating search terms given to me by Google, and this was, in fact, at the very top of the list! --Larry Sanger 19:24, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

Is there a link to that? Also, I wasn't aware that we are relying upon google now? --Robert W King 19:39, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

We aren't relying on Google, the world is--and we would do well to keep the world's (and so Google's) interests in mind. I'll post a longer list if I get the time...it's something available only to me, as owner of citizendium.org (I don't know why). --Larry Sanger 19:48, 11 October 2007 (CDT)

Is there data on what people search for within Citizendium? Once they're here, what do people look for? (And what redlinks are most clicked?) Anthony Argyriou 12:16, 12 October 2007 (CDT)
we have articles on all the main presidents except Ulysses Grant, and I plan to work on that someday. (I did a lot of work on the Wikipedia Grant article). Richard Jensen 17:17, 20 October 2007 (CDT)
Monroe (and his doctrine) and the notorious Daddy Bush were not covered yet. Yi Zhe Wu 17:19, 20 October 2007 (CDT)
