Orlando, Florida is a city in the center of the U.S. state of Florida and the seat of Orange county. It is the third-largest metropolitan area in Florida behind Miami and Tampa. The city of Orlando had a population of 307,573 in 2020, and the surrounding metropolitan area had a population of 2,509,831. The area has many small lakes, which are home to alligators.

In part because of its theme parks (Walt Disney World and Sea World Orlando), Orlando is one of the busiest American cities for conferences and conventions, and the Orange County Convention Center is the second-largest convention facility in the United States.

Orlando is also home to the very large University of Central Florida.
