Marine 1 is a fireboat operated by the city of Newburgh, New York, a city on the Hudson River.[1]

The vessel was built with the assistance of a FEMA Port Security grant.[1] As is usual with such vessels she was designed to combat spills of dangerous chemicals as well as fight fires.

She can project a modest 2000 gallons per minute.[1] She is also designed to rescue people who have fallen into the water.
