Gustav von Lossow (1862-1934) was a German general who was military commander of Bavaria at the time of the Beer Hall Putsch on 8 November 1923. Lossow, the Bavarian Prime Minister, Gustav von Kahr, and the state police chief, Hans von Seisser, were addressing a meeting that was overrun by the Nazis.
He was later killed in the Night of the Long Knives, as one of Hitler's enemies.
