The Indian economy is now (2007) ranked fourth in the world in terms of the Gross Development Product (GDP), and is expected to grow at a healthy rate of between 8 and 10% per annum over the next few years. This places the country amongst the fastest growing in the world. With population growth around 2% per annum , the outlook for the people in the sub continent seem good.
