Milrinone [r]:
A positive inotropic cardiotonic agent with vasodilator properties; inhibits cAMP phosphodiesterase activity in myocardium and vascular smooth muscle; is a derivative of amrinone and has 20-30 times the ionotropic potency of amrinone.
